experience in the trades

I became a home inspector after working in set construction and the home repair and remodeling field for over twelve years.   I worked on my own for many years as a remodeler and handyman; this experience gave me first-hand knowledge of every major system found in the home.  I have also worked as a professional carpenter for North Light Theatre, The Organic Theatre, and Theatre Building Chicago.  I was a welder and carpenter for Northwestern University Theatre, and have been a professional carpenter for local scene shops such as Scenic View and Big City Sets.  I have worked as a carpenter for numerous trade shows, television commercials, and conventions, including clients such as Nike, Sheraton, and M&M/Mars.  I also enjoy cabinetmaking and fine wood working as a personal hobby.
