writing experience

I earned a B.A. from Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where I pursued a double major in Literature and Theatre.  My thesis was on the “business” plays of David Mamet, so I suppose it’s not such a surprise I should end up working in a field related to real estate.  I worked for three years as a writing instructor with Free Street Programs, teaching theatre and creative writing to students in the Chicago Public Schools.   I also had the pleasure of working in conjunction with Columbia College to produce a book of short poems and creative fiction which was written by my 7^th grade students at the Helen C. Peirce School .  In 2005, I was honored to be a guest lecturer at Columbia College Chicago for their career seminar, “Designing Vocation.”
